What this could mean for your family

Does someone you love need help at certain times of day, but still manage safely between visits?

Visiting care can help with washing, dressing, medication, meals, mobility and companionship while preserving the parts of daily life the person still manages themselves.

Care at the times that matter

Visits can support washing, dressing, medication, breakfast, evening routines, meals, mobility, companionship, shopping and household tasks. Care can begin with a small amount of support and change as needs develop.

Pricing

Visiting care costs £25 per hour. When a single continuous booking lasts 10 hours or more in one uninterrupted stretch, the rate is £20 per hour. This discount does not apply merely because separate visits total 10 hours across a week.

No travel charge

Caring Lane does not add a travel fee. The complete price is explained before care begins.

A familiar small team

Clients normally have a regular team of three carers who understand their needs, supported by a supervisor and care manager. This creates familiarity while allowing safe cover for illness, leave and unexpected changes.

Care may begin within 48 hours

Following a safe assessment and subject to suitable staff availability, visiting care can begin within 48 hours. Urgent hospital-discharge enquiries are accepted.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum visit?

The exact visit length is agreed after assessment, based on what can be completed safely and without rushing.

Can care change later?

Yes. Care is reviewed whenever the person’s condition changes and at least every six months.

What this can look like in real life

Questions families usually ask before they feel ready

Morning support

A carer may help the person get up safely, wash, dress, prepare breakfast and take prescribed medication.

Longer visits and companionship

Care does not have to be a rushed list of tasks. Longer calls can include conversation, shopping, appointments, cooking or time outside.

Minimum visit and price

The minimum visit is one hour at £25. One uninterrupted same-day booking of ten hours or more costs £20 per hour.

Who will come?

Clients normally have a small team of three carers who know their needs, supported by a supervisor and care manager.

When visits may no longer be enough

If long periods alone become unsafe, night needs increase or family support becomes unsustainable, longer daily support or live-in care may need discussing.
